"THE KIT" - Stock Up Early (Common Replacement Parts)

Some parts are best kept on the shelf and not in the mail. Items listed below are suggested spare parts and if needed can be less costly on the shelf than most overnight delivery charges.

Classified as wear items, these are the parts that just might keep any CrystalBlast from operating and you from meeting those important delivery dates.

Below you will find listed the parts allowing you to make up your own In-House Inventory Kit.. Also listed is a description of the part and what happens if the part wears out .

1. Replacement inside whip abrasive hose: This hose is sold by the foot and sometimes longer hoses are requested. The 3/8" OD whip hose is sold by the foot and you can order by the foot in uncut lengths. Please remember that hardware tubing may look the same but last only a day! If the hose wears out, nozzle velocity decreases and compressed air consumption increases.
2. Replacement Tungsten Carbide Nozzle, 3/32: Comes with the nozzle holder. All Media Blast nozzles include the nozzle holder. Never try to remove the nozzle from the holder. Push in on the hose holder release ring where the hose enters the nozzle holder and pull back on the hose to remove the nozzle holder and nozzle. A worn nozzle will required more compressed air to maintain any set blasting pressure. If the compressed air needed exceeds the air compressor volume, the line pressure may fall and the air controls will not function properly. Long Wear Cerbide Nozzles are also available..
3. Replacement Pinch Valve Bladder: This is the item that controls the actual on-off cycle using the foot pedal. If the pinch valve bladder wears out, compressed air will continue to exit the nozzle when the foot pedal is released. This item must be replaced for the machine to function properly. The standard pinch valve is blue and the High Pressure Long Wear valve is flanged metal silver housing. This is comparable to getting a flat-tire, it must be fixed!
4. Micro-Filter Replacement Filter: Because air must travel in two directions through the foot control valve, a small micro filter acts as a two-way check valve. This prevents damage to the machine blast pedal if the pinch valve bladder ever needs replacement. Replace each time bladder is replaced.
